New Exhibition: A Tale of Two Empires, Barber Institute of Fine Arts
A new exhibition is now on display at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts – ‘A Tale of Two Empires‘ utilises the Late Roman coin collection held at the Barber and a collection of Sasanian stamp seals on loan from the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, to explore the powers of ancient Rome and Persia.
The exhibition explores the artistic interactions between the two civilisations, particularly in the representations of military victories and defeats. Admission is free, and the exhibition will be on display until mid-March 2020.
