Opportunity: Professional Development Course ‘Curating Now: Roles of the Contemporary Curator’, V&A Museum
An upcoming professional development course on curation will take place from 25th February 2020 – 17th March 2020 at the V&A Museum. ‘Curating Now: Roles of the Contemporary Curator’ is a 4-week evening course which explores curation of the gallery and museum space, and curating of different contexts from festivals, pop up events, and via digital platforms.
Each evening meeting will include discussion from a range of contemporary practitioners, and focus on four themes of Curating with Science, Curating with Architecture, Curating Experience and Curating in Partnerships and Collaborations. Led by Dr Matilda Pye, independent curator and Public Engagement Fellow, the course aims to give attendees an insight into a broad range of current thinking relating to curatorial practice.
This course is ideal for curators at an early to mid-stage of their careers, and for those who are considering a curating career in galleries and museums. The programme for the course can be found online, and further details including prices and how to book a place can be found on the V&A webpage.
