PhD Studentship Opportunity: University of Leicester and the British Museum

An exciting Collaborative Doctoral Partnership between the British Museum and the School of Museum Studies, University of Leicester has been advertised to begin in September 2019.

‘Hidden, Revealed:  investigating representation and narratives of disability in the British Museum’ is an opportunity offered by the British Museum in partnership with the University of Leicester, and funded by the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council.

This research aims to analyse current displays within the British Museum to better understand how and why narratives related to disability and experiences of physical and mental difference have been overlooked, marginalised or obscured.

For further information about the opportunity, including applicant requirements and application procedure, can be found on the AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Partnership website.
