Statement from Research/Curate regarding COVID-19
A message from the Research/Curate committee:
In order to minimise the risk to staff, students and the wider community, the University of Birmingham campus has moved to restricted operations. During this time, University staff will be working remotely and the majority of buildings and facilities within the campus will be closed. This also means that many exhibitions and display spaces on campus, such as the current John Walker exhibition and wider collections displays by Research and Cultural Collections, will not be accessible to the public until further notice. To find out the latest updates from the University with regards to COVID-19, please visit the official website.
This is of course also having an impact on many other institutions and cultural organisations, who have also closed to the public. You may find further information and statements from the wider heritage sector through the Museums Association website. For any upcoming events or activities listed here on this site over the last few months, please do check with the organisers directly to find out further updates regarding whether these plans have now been postponed or cancelled.
During this time, unfortunately Research/Curate will temporarily not be adding or accepting new content submissions. However, the team at Research and Cultural Collections are currently working to make exciting new curatorial and research resources available online (also check our their blog here) in these difficult times, so watch this space!
