Upcoming Centre for the Study of Global Ethics Conference: Bodies and Embodiment

The Centre for the Study of Global Ethics, hosted by the Department of Philosophy within the University of Birmingham, has announced its Fifth Annual Conference on the theme of Bodies and Embodiment. Themes and issues explored within the conference include ethics and governance of the body, objectification, marginalised and vulnerable bodies, practices of body modification and the relevance of embodiment to (abstract) theory.

The conference also includes an annual public lecture, this year delivered by Birmingham’s own Heather Widdows on: ‘Beauty, Bodies and Social Justice’.
