Upcoming Conference: “Bright Ideas: New Perspectives on Museum Lighting”

An upcoming one-day conference on museum lighting taking place at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester promises to provide an insight into the latest innovations and trends relating to lighting in museum displays, storage and exhibitions.

Taking place on 11th September 2019, the event aims to consider the importance and advantages of lightning in the context of displays and interpretation but also in conservation, and will discuss particular tools such as LED technology, frames, and motion-triggered lighting.

Discounted rates for attendees are also available to students, volunteers, retired and unemployed attendees.
