Upcoming Conference: Meaning, Memory and Movement Ancient and Medieval Spaces, University of Birmingham

A free interdisciplinary conference at the University of Birmingham entitled ‘Meaning, Memory, and Movement: Ancient and Medieval Spaces‘ is taking place on 23rd and 24th November 2019. This event is generously funded by the M4C Doctoral Training Programme and the Arts & Humanities Research Council.

Focusing on the nature of historical space, the conference aims to generate original and innovate ideas with presentations from postgraduate and early career researchers. Themes and contexts range from Greek and Roman spaces to the nature of space in literature and burials in medieval settings. Key speakers include academics from the University of Birmingham and the University of York.

To book a place at the conference (either in full or on either day), visit the Eventbrite page. For further details about the programme and the organisers, visit the conference website. A number of travel bursaries are available for Masters students wishing to attend the conference – again further information about these and how to apply can be found on the conference website.
