Upcoming Event at the V&A: ‘Culture in Crisis – Protecting Cultural Heritage: Theft, Looting and the Law’
An exciting upcoming talk at the Victoria and Albert Museum entitled ‘Culture in Crisis – Protecting Cultural Heritage: Theft, Looting and the Law‘ is taking place on 25th April 2019.
Led by Leila Amineddoleh, an art and cultural heritage lawyer based in New York, this free event will explore the practice of theft and looting throughout history, including the modern implications and international attention drawn to several cases relating to repatriation. The legal systems and due diligence methods currently in place to protect art and cultural heritage will be discussed, as well as the appropriate acquisition practices and best practice to continue protecting heritage.
The event is free, but tickets must be booked in advance.
