Upcoming Event: ‘Selly Manor Lates: Tudor Cinema Club’

An upcoming event at Selly Manor on Saturday 19th September provides a unique interactive experience dedicated to Shakespeare and Tudor England – with a selection of film and TV clips, readings and discussions, the event will explore the life of the Tudors and what life was really like. Led by Richard O’Brien, a Teaching Fellow at the Shakespeare Institute and Birmingham’s Poet Laureate, the evening will also consider the accuracy of both  writers and film-makers in telling stories about the past.

The event is £7 per person and includes complimentary tea and cake, and the opportunity to explore the beautiful medieval hall within Selly Manor. Two time slots in the evening of 6pm – 7.30pm or 7.30pm – 9pm are available, and bookings can be made via phone (0121 472 0199) or email (sellymanor@bvt.org.uk).

Further information about the event and future upcoming events within Selly Manor can be found on their website.
