Upcoming Free Event: “Reciprocal Dialogues: Researching Digital Culture and Science Fiction”

The Centre for Digital Cultures within the University of Birmingham are hosting a free talk on 22nd January 2020 (4pm-6pm) delivered by Dr Liz Stainforth from the University of Leeds on a variety of her research projects. This includes ‘Computing Utopia’, the ‘Transcultural Fantastic’ and ‘J.G. Ballard’s Invisible Library’, and the speaker will also share views on science fiction as a lens for critical studies of digital culture, and how digital humanities approaches have informed and shaped her research. The event will also include broader discussion and encourage shared dialogue on this topic and associated themes.

The event will also be followed by a drinks reception, and anyone is welcome to attend.
